Week 13 – Take Two

1..2..3….ACTION! This week was fun and sad all at the same time. We are getting prepared for more user testing and this time; we are going to be working on 5 tests with all features we currently have! So that is exciting! Sad new is, we as a team didn’t have time to meet as our lives got in the way (along with us still trying to do our schoolwork as well)!

Planning: Scripts and Tasks

This week, we had to come up with some information about how we are going to be doing our user testing. How many, who are they, are they reading from a script, doing tasks, or following a step-by-step guide. All valid questions in which we were able to get answered and submitted. I have to admit, the sight of almost graduating is starting to affect my work. Hopefully, this is just a phase, and I’ll get over it soon. The finish line is almost there. But anyway, we as the team were able to at least agree on some of the topics we and questions we want our users work through.

  • Add “Hidden content here because we are still secret, hehe” to your account

Just some basic tasks to share that won’t give away what we are working on!

Next Steps

Not much went on this week since just getting ready for user testing. We are planning on meeting to get our code all migrated together so we can do one massive push to our main branch. From there, we will have an up-to-date app users can test on. Along with that, we have added some more security features to the site that will help protect against bots and harmful individuals.

But my goal is to get three users to test the app. Starting with today, going to get one, maybe two if things go correctly. From there, we will then review their feedback and start getting this going. We only realistically only have like 2-3 more weeks of full development before we have to start working on killing bugs and final polish on the app. I hear our last week will be crazy with graduation since we have a lot of paperwork that is due!

Time to party! Or in this case, time to record and not edit! Since we need 100% actually verbiage from our tester!
